Victorian Gold Filled Flower Bracelet

$250
A rare and unique gold filled bracelet from the Victorian era! This piece, which may have been a child's bracelet given the size and motif, has a darling blooming flower as the centerpiece, with a sparkling paste stone in the center. The stone is cut very well, capturing the light and sparkling like a diamond. On both shoulders are detailed Etruscan Revival decorative elements, finished with the bracelet band which expands open. The three dimensional nature of the flower is remarkable, and the warm gold band is lovely.

This would make a beautiful wedding day piece, but would also be perfect for a young girl on a special occasion. It would become an instant heirloom! I've never seen another Victorian piece like it.

HISTORY: Late Victorian era, late 1800's

MATERIALS: Gold filled metal, paste (glass) stone

SIZE: This would fit a small write best, but can expand to fit a medium wrist. When closed, the bracelet measures 2" east to west (internally) by 1 3/4" (internally). It can comfortably expand much larger.

CONDITION: Absolutely beautiful condition. The gold filled metal is still intact, except for just a few areas of patina and verdigris. The paste stone wiggles just slightly in the setting, but there are sufficient prongs to hold it in place.

What a special gift this would make!
