WWII USA Pin
Along with things like victory gardens, even jewelry saw a surge of patriotic energy during both WWI and WWII. In this case we have a lovely patriotic sweetheart pin with a red, white and blue ribbon and "My heart for the U.S.A." inscribed on the front in red enamel. Given the heart, this was likely a sweetheart piece, worn by the lover or mother of someone serving.
This was clearly a well loved piece, and likely worn often during the second world war. It's a lovely piece of WWII memorabilia.
HISTORY: 1940's WWII era
MATERIALS: Silk ribbon, gold tone metal, enamel
SIZE: From the top of the ribbon to the bottom of the heart it measures 1 3/4". The width of the ribbon left to right is 1 11/16"
CONDITION: Well loved condition. The pinback does work well, but the ribbon is frayed and worn and there is some wear to the gold tone on the front of the heart. This wear speaks to the history of the piece!
