Onyx and Marcasite Geometric Brooch

With a modernist feel and statement style, this large brooch would look fantastic on a jacket, hat, dress or sweater. Fun triangle and diamond shapes hold sparkling marcasites, while uniquely and beautifully cut black onyx is a real showstopper.  The bottom teardrop onyx piece dangles and swings as you move.  The geometric style to this piece makes it iconicly late Art Deco.

HISTORY: Estimated 1930's late Art Deco. There is a maker's mark on the back which is difficult to make out but looks similar to Clark & Coombs.

MATERIALS: Sterling silver, onyx, marcasite

SIZE: Very big. 3 7/8" long by 1 1/4" wide.

CONDITION: Beautiful vintage condition. Pin clasp works great and no missing stones.

I'd love to see this on a bride's dress or in the hair! It would add such an antique, almost gothic touch.
