1960's Simulated Opal Screw Back Earrings
With a beautiful pink purple crackled look, the synthetic opals in these gold filled earrings make a big and feminine statement. The "fans" at the bottom of these earrings give them a classic Art Deco look that belies their retro history.
HISTORY: Made by Van Dell jewelry company, founded in 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island. These earrings date to the 1950's. Van Dell made some of the best mid-century costume jewelry.
MATERIALS: 12K gold filled metal, simulated opal
SIZE: these earrings measure 11/16" north to south and 9/16" at their widest width east to west. The opals measure 3/8" by 5/16".
CONDITION: Beautiful condition; the gold fill is intact, stones are in great condition, and the screw backs work well.
