WWII Marine Clip On Earrings

Along with things like victory gardens, even jewelry saw a surge of patriotic energy during both WWI and WWII. In this case we have a lovely pair of clip on earrings with the insignia for the US Marines.

These were clearly well loved, as the gold wash is only really evident in some of the finer details of them. They're a lovely piece of WWII memorabilia.

HISTORY: 1940's WWII era

MATERIALS: Gold wash over sterling silver

SIZE: Each earring measures 5/8" by 9/16".

CONDITION: Well loved but beautiful condition. The clips on these work well - they hold but aren't painfully tight - and the detail on the insignia is crisp. The gold wash is largely worn off, but still evident in some of the detail of the insignia.
