Rare Renoir Matisse Enamel Leaf Brooch and Earrings

Highly collectible and once coveted by celebrities like Betty Davis, Renoir-Matisse costume jewelry is known for its gorgeous multi-color enamel on copper and its styling that is a nod to the Arts and Crafts Movement at the turn of the century. A short production history - 1952 to 1964 - combined with hand done enamel and artisan finishing touches, make these pieces highly sought after, particularly in matching sets.

Here we have a lovely statement brooch and clip-on earring set, in a vibrant and happy enamel hue of cream, pink and gold. These colors compliment the rich, warm copper beautifully, which swirls around the leaves with tremendous movement. These would make for lovely jewelry for the vintage and bohemian bride.

HISTORY: Stamped with the hallmark for Renoir-Matisse. This piece is from the 1950's.

SIZE: The brooch is a statement piece for sure, measuring 2 3/4" by 1 7/8". The earrings measure just a bit over 1" by 7/8".
