Ruby Flower Eternity Cigar Band

An incredible vintage ring - let's start first with the detail. You have 11 multi-petaled flowers, each unique and appearing to be hand fabricated, running the entire length of this ring. The center of each flower holds a lone ruby. Behind the three dimensional flowers is a hatch-like pattern, giving the ring visual depth. The entire piece is a rosy gold hue, which the rubies compliment beautifully. The cigar band style of this ring makes it a unique and statement wedding band or stack ring.

HISTORY: There are no hallmarks on this piece. Given the condition of it - great, particularly the equal and substantial thickness of the band - we believe this to be newer than Victorian, even though it has many elements of Victorian style. We estimate this to be 1920's timeframe - rose gold came back into prominent use at that time, after a hiatus in the early 1900's, and floral elements were often used in jewelry.

MATERIALS: 14k rose gold; rubies. This ring was assessed by, and bought from, a GIA certified appraiser.

SIZE: Ring size 5 3/4 (although this will fit a bit smaller given the width of the band), and ring likely cannot (and probably should not) be resized given the eternity pattern and overall style. There are 11 rubies for a total weight of .45 carat (2.25 mm each). Width of the ring is 8 mm, and thickness of the band is 1.5 mm. This is a hefty ring with a lot of gold, weighing 5.4 g.

CONDITION: Excellent, and restored. Band is still very thick, and detail on flowers is crisp and gorgeous. One ruby went missing over the years, and we did replace it. The replaced stone is a bit of a deeper red than the existing - see next to last photo.

An exquisite ring! *Please note that antique box showed in photos not included with purchase.
