Vintage Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity Ring
"Founded in 1848, Phi Gamma Delta is a fraternity with the motto of responsibility, leadership, scholarship and social skills. Whether or not Phi Gamma Delta is your fraternity or not, the logo of the organization is this fetching white star in the black diamond, expertly done in this ring with enamel. This particular ring was created by the famous Balfour company, known for its production of fraternity, sorority and class rings and pins.
HISTORY: Made by Balfour, a company out of Attleboro, Massachusetts founded in 1913. We estimate this ring to be from the 1940's.
MATERIALS: 10k gold, enamel
SIZE: Ring size 10.5. the signet face of the ring measures slightly over 1/2" by 7/16". The ring weighs 6.1 g.
CONDITION: Excellent condition for its age. The enamel is intact and the band is not overly thin (although it's evident this was a ring worn often in terms of the size of the bottom of the band). There are some light surface scratches to this piece, as can be expected with age.
An awesome ring! *Please note antique ring box not included with purchase.
