Intaglio Horse & North Star Necklace

A Perfect Talisman for A Time of Change

The first in our Memoir jewelry line, inspired by the stories of real people. This gorgeous handmade and customizable pendant has a North star on the front and a hand engraved horse on the back. Reminiscent of Victorian jewelry in both style and symbolism, this is a perfect modern day piece for the person traversing life's difficulties.

Inspired by One Woman's Story

The two symbols on this pendant are the future and past of one woman's story (see her in the last photo!) - Cynthia went through a harrowing divorce and came out on the other side as a single mother of a little boy. The star, which symbolizes Cynthia's hope for the future, holds her son's birthstone. The horse is there to remind her of her tremendous strength; during her darkest days, a person had told her "You're the horse I'd bet on." The horse engraving is on the back such that only the wearer will know it's there and will always remember that strength.

Custom Gemstone Options & Piece Details

The stone in this piece is entirely custom - you choose whatever stone you'd like. Pictured are two variations - a diamond and a garnet. The stone itself can add symbolism to the piece, as Cynthia chose with her son's birthstone.

With stones, price varies and is listed depending on whether or not you're choosing a more expensive stone:
D, S, R, E = Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald
"Other" = citrine, aquamarine, cubic zirconia, etc (these are just examples; multiple stone options available)

The piece comes with a 16", 18" or 20" sterling silver chain, but pictures also show other variations to give you an idea of styling (antique choker chain shown is not available). The stone measures 2 mm (approximately .03 carat), and the pendant measures 7/8" by 1/2".

14k gold is available upon request and will be available more widely soon - please message me for more information.

Once you place your order, please message me with the stone you would like in the piece. All stones, where possible, will be reclaimed/recycled.

Handmade in Philadelphia, PA

The pendant takes approximately 2-3 weeks production time, and is not returnable given the level of customization involved.

Lastly, know that this pendant is handmade from start to finish! I made the original, and then jewelers on the historic Jeweler's Row in Philadelphia do the stone setting and hand engraving. Your money goes to support the livelihood of many!
