Art Deco White Gold 1 ct Diamond Cocktail Ring

An absolutely exquisite and completely unique diamond ring, in 14k white gold and featuring a total of 1 carat's worth of diamonds. It resembles a button clasp, with 17 diamonds curving around one central large diamond. The details on this piece are remarkable, and evidence of it being hand fabricated, possibly even custom made, back in the 1940's. This would make a wonderful engagement ring or anniversary band.

HISTORY:
1940's late Art Deco

MATERIALS:
14k white gold. 17 single cut diamonds at .03 carats (for a total of .51 carats), and one Old European Cut central diamond at .50 carats, all SI quality.

CONDITION:
Fantastic condition for its age. Very little thinning to the band, and all diamonds are securely set. There is one scratch mark on the inside of the band where this ring was once tested for gold.

MEASUREMENTS:
Weighs 5.9 grams in gold and a ring size of 5. The ring is 12.75mm at its widest width, and tapers to 2.4mm at its smallest. The rise/height from the finger is 6mm, if you count the height of the center diamond.
