Art Nouveau Simulated Ruby and Diamond Halo Ring
So unique! A pink hued stone, meant to simulate ruby or tourmaline, is surrounded by 12 old mine cut diamonds in a stunning swirl design. The color of the glass is fiery and vibrant, complimenting the diamonds perfectly. This is a dainty ring with so much character.
HISTORY:
There are no maker's marks on this piece, but the old cut of diamond and the use of glass speaks to a Victorian or Art Nouveau piece. Glass was a very common substitute for natural stone during that time.
MATERIALS:
14k gold, diamonds, glass
SIZE:
Ring size 5 3/4. The pink glass measures at 4mm, and each of the mine cut diamonds is 1mm, for a total of .06 carats of diamond. Weighs 1.69g
CONDITION:
The ring is in great condition, with just a few slight abrasions to the center stone, only evident under magnification.
