Garnet and Diamond Trilogy Ring

January's birthstone, garnet has been heralded throughout the ages as a stone of protection and healing. This vintage gold beauty holds an oval garnet at its center, with a rich and deep red color, and two small diamonds flanking either side. With three stones, this represents a trilogy ring, which symbolizes past, present and future. This would make a wonderful birthday or anniversary ring.

HISTORY: There is a hallmark on this piece which is nearly impossible to make out. We estimate this to be a retro 1960's piece.

MATERIALS: 14K gold, diamond, garnet

SIZE: Ring size 5.5. Weighs 2.5 g. The garnet measures 7 mm x 5 mm, and each diamond measures 1 mm.

CONDITION: Overall good condition. There is still quite a bit of thickness to the band, and the prongs are thick. There is light abrasion (light scratches and abrasion to the edge of the top facets) to the garnet, barely noticeable except under magnification. The one photo here with the ring on the finger in darkness does show this abrasion best.
