Japanese Fan Screw Back Earrings and Brooch Set


A special, rare and exquisite Art Deco jewelry set with matching screw back earrings and a brooch with a trombone clasp. Each depicts an open fan with Asian characters on them, and stunning hand engraved elements. Fans are an important part of Asian culture, particularly in Japan, and each one conveys its own meaning. In this case, the bamboo on the brooch represents patience, however, we have been unable to decipher the meaning of the Asian characters This special set would be perfect for the Asian bride.

HISTORY: Art Deco 1920's

MATERIALS: Sterling silver

SIZE: The earrings hang slightly over 1 1/4" from the ear and the fans are 1 3/8" wide. The brooch measures 1 7/8" by 2 3/8" wide.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. No flaws to report.
