Art Deco Square Small Diamond Engagement Ring

$425

Late Art Deco at its finest - white and yellow gold, with a small old cut diamond taking center stage. The shoulders, with their sinuous curves, give the ring both a romantic and architectural feel. The windowpane cutouts below the diamond setting give the ring visual height and character.

The top view of this ring is slim and dainty, but it is incredibly beautiful. The old cut diamond sparkles wonderfully, particularly under low light (this cut of stone was meant to look best under candlelight); the setting allows for maximum light flow into the diamond.

HISTORY: 1930's. Stamped with the maker's mark for the W.J. Harber Company, Inc. from NYC, a manufacturer of engagement rings in the 1930's.

MATERIALS: 14k and 18k white and yellow gold, diamonds. The diamond is an estimated .1 CT and SI quality.

SIZE: Ring size 6.5. The center diamond measures approximately .10 carat. The ring weighs 1.12 g. The "rise" or height of the setting from the finger is approximately 5mm.

CONDITION: Great condition for its age. The setting is intact, the shoulder design is crisp. There is thinning to the band, but not overly so.

A classic engagement ring, perfect for the person seeking a dainty piece with tremendous character.
