Antique Inspired Custom Ring with Hand Engraving

Inspired by an antique Victorian ring that was sold in our shop many moons ago, this handmade piece features intricately engraved camphor leaves on its shoulders, and a lovely octagonal setting with milgrain details and a gleaming recycled diamond at its center. This piece is entirely handmade, including the hand engraving for the leaves.

An Engagement Ring with Symbolism 

Camphor leaf symbolism goes back to ancient times, considered a symbol of protection and believed to be mystical in the Japanese culture in particular. We think that symbolism is pretty spectacular for a modern day engagement ring! However, this would also make a wonderful gentlemen's style ring, particularly for the pinky.

Handmade in Philadelphia with Recycled Metals

We've cast this piece in 18k recycled rose gold, which has a warm and subtle pink hue much like the rose gold you see in antique rings. The setting is recycled white gold, although we can offer it with a rose gold setting to match (just message us). We've added just a slight patina to the outline of the laurel leaves, to bring out the fine detail.

This ring takes approximately 4 weeks production time, and is not returnable given the level of customization involved. *Please note, antique box not included with purchase.

Ring Details

RING SIZE: You choose your size when purchasing.

DIAMOND: The diamond at its center measures .08 CT; each diamond chosen for this ring will be slightly different clarity and color given that each is recycled, however, you can expect a diamond in the VS(2) - SI range of clarity.

OTHER MEASUREMENTS: This ring measures 6mm in width at the top of the setting. The height/rise of the ring is 3.5mm off the finger.
