1950's Pearl Necklace
From the iridescent pearls, to the fetching length (this sits right at the nape of the neck), to the unbelievably gorgeous gold clasp, this is a classic and beautiful necklace. The clasp, even in its small stature, lends a powerful design element to the necklace - it is 14k gold, finished with a small malachite stone, and is a fish hook design. The fish hook clasp, used from the 1930's through the 50's, is not only very sturdy, but just such a nice design touch.
This would make a wonderful bridal necklace or gift for a young girl. The 30th wedding anniversary is also the one to give pearls!
