Art Deco Coral Knotted Necklace

Simple, beautiful and with vibrant pink color - a hand knotted coral beaded necklace with a pin and barrel clasp. Measuring at just 14", this makes for a great choker or a lovely piece for a young girl. The beads are of varying sizes and slight color differences, making for a unique necklace.
Coral has been used in jewelry for at least 30,000 years, and has been treasured over that time not only for its beauty but for its symbolism - health, happiness, good luck and protection. During the Victorian era coral was worn to ward off evil spirits.
HISTORY: Estimated late Art Deco, 1930's overall, however, it appears as if this piece may have been restrung in its lifetime as the thread looks bright and strong.
MATERIALS: Coral, thread, brass
SIZE: This necklace measures 14" in length. The beads are of varying sizes ranging from 5mm to 8.5mm
CONDITION: Overall good condition. The clasp does have some patina.
