Vintage Collectible Baseball Gold Filled Pendant

A heavy and beautifully detailed baseball charm from 1949, showcasing a person at bat on the front alongside a winged goddess holding a wreath in one hand and what appears to be a lightning bolt in the other. She is likely Nike, the goddess of victory. On the back, this piece is stamped "1949 AFL Champs."

This would make an amazingly special gift for the baseball collector or historian.

HISTORY: I've been unable to find information on this charm anywhere! It remains a mystery as to both the symbolism and the AFL. 

MATERIALS: Stamped 1/20 10K for 10K gold filled.

SIZE: Measures 1.5" north to south and 1 1/8" at its widest east to west.

CONDITION: Beautiful condition. Some light scratches but very little wear to the gold fill.
