A gorgeous antique cameo pin showcasing a woman sitting by a house. It has highly detailed shell carving (look at the lines of her house!) with a woman staring off into the distance. Along the sides of the setting are acorns, representing potential, growth and strength. Often the acorn was used in mourning jewelry at the time, to signify that life continues even after death. The setting also appears to have grapes, which symbolized abundance and fertility in the Victorian era.
HISTORY: Victorian, 1800's
SIZE: 1 1/4" x 7/8"
CONDITION: Great condition, lovely details and pin mechanism works well.
