Edwardian Square Diamond Engagement Ring with Wheat Sheaf Engraving
An absolutely lovely and unique engagement ring, with detailed engraving on all sides. On the east and west ends, half flowers appear to descend from the top, with a wheat sheaf engraving down the tapered sides. Wheat sheaf have long been associated with fertility, and for farmers' wives, successful harvests. On the north and south ends, this ring has a gorgeous sunray motif. In the center sits an early version of the modern round brilliant, a sparkling transitional cut diamond. Inside are the engraved initials "E.I.P."
HISTORY: This ring is from the Edwardian era, early 1900's, as evidenced by the diamond cut, use of platinum, and the style of the engraving.
MATERIALS: Platinum top, 14k gold shank. Transitional cut (early modern round brilliant) diamond , J in color and I1 in clarity.
SIZE: Ring size 4 3/4. The ring weighs 2.7g. The square setting measures 1/4" by 1/4", and in the center sits a .35 carat diamond. The setting rises 4.5 mm from the finger.

This ring would be perfect for the lady who loves nature motifs and longs for a one-of-a-kind ring that stands out from the rest.
