Victorian Micro Mosaic Flower Brooch
Fabbrica Angelo Pessar was famous for his micro mosaic pieces, done for tourists to Italy during the Victorian and Edwardian periods. His work is collectible and more rare. Micro mosaic is the art form of using very small cut pieces of glass to create intricate designs, in this case small flowers that radiate out from the center.
The center flowers are a beautiful blue and cream color with a yellow center, and the flowers on the outer edges have colors like candy. The piece packs a gorgeous and detailed punch in a very small space. This piece is in great condition for its age.
HISTORY: Signed FAP for the artist Fabbrica Angelo Pessar
MATERIALS: Brass, glass
SIZE: Daintier, measuring just slightly over 3/4" diameter.
CONDITION: Beautiful antique condition. There is some patina to the brass, which we've left intact as it speaks to its age. The pin mechanism is in good working order. There appear to be no missing mosaic elements.
A great piece for the collector of micro mosaic jewelry, or Victorian brooches. *Please note antique box not included with purchase.
