Victorian Men's Snake Ring

$1,200
Three coiled snakes, three old cut sparkling diamonds, and one amazing band - this Victorian snake ring would make an outstanding gent's wedding band. anniversary or everyday ring. Crafted in 14k yellow gold and dating to the early 1900's, this ring speaks of the days when men wore symbolic statement jewelry. The warmth and smoothness of the gold come only with a ring that has been well loved and worn often over the years.

The number three holds strong symbolic weight across cultures and time - the Christian trinity, the three graces often seen in Greek and Italian neoclassical art, the list goes on. Snake symbolism traces back to ancient times, and was a motif very prevalent in the Victorian era. It holds symbolism around unending love, fertility, wisdom and immorality.

This band - which appears visually as three bands but is in fact one - would make a perfect alternative men's wedding band, or of course a rad everyday ring for the gentleman looking for a statement piece.

HISTORY: This ring dates to the Victorian period, early 1900's.

MATERIALS: 14k yellow gold, diamonds

SIZE: Ring size 12 1/4. Each diamond is approximately 2.5mm (approximately .06 ct each for a total carat weight of .18 ct). The piece weighs 7.88 g. The total width of the snakes at the top of the ring is 3/4".
