Mid-century Norwegian White Enamel Panel Bracelet
Vibrant and detailed guilloche enamel is what makes this bracelet stand out the most - each panel has a starburst pattern that the enamel is set into, giving the white color depth. Surrounding the enamel on each panel are beautiful curves in an Art Deco style. With intact enamel and gold wash, and done by a famous Norwegian designer, this piece is collectible and a rarity.
HISTORY: First registered in Oslo in 1953, Ivar Holt (sometimes spelled Holth) was a prolific producer of guilloche enamel jewellery, with an extensive export business. This bracelet is stamped with Holt's signature "H", and estimated from that time period, mid-century.
MATERIALS: 830 silver, gold wash, enamel
SIZE: This bracelet is best for a bigger wrist, or the woman who prefers a bracelet that drapes on the hand. It measures 7 3/4" in length (when closed), and approximately 2.5" internal diameter when closed. Each panel measures approximately 3/4" by 1/2".
CONDITION: Gorgeous vintage condition. There are no cracks in the enamel - a rarity for its age! There is a patina to the vermeil, which I've left largely untouched as it gives the piece character. There are also some places where the vermeil is worn off, showing the silver beneath.
