Duchess Kate Middleton Style Sapphire and Diamond Cocktail Ring

Completely stunning - a retro yellow gold ring with a gorgeous deep blue cabochon oval sapphire center that is surrounded by 10 sparkling diamonds, with an additional 4 diamonds and two square sapphires adoring the split shoulders. This ring is reminiscent of Princess Kate Middleton's engagement ring, albeit with a modern twist! A classic and unique cocktail style piece, which would be lovely as an engagement or anniversary ring.

HISTORY:
The style of this piece speaks to the 1960's. There is a maker's mark, but we've been unable to find information on the maker despite extensive research (that often happens with American made rings!). The ring was made by a bench jeweler (e.g. handmade start to finish) at the time it was made - you can tell it was handmade based on the lovingly imperfect shape of the cutouts adorning the shoulders and underside of the setting.

MATERIALS:
14k yellow gold, genuine sapphire, diamonds

SIZE:
Ring size 6 3/4. The oval sapphire measures 7 mm by 4 mm, for an approximate weight of .7 carats. The accent diamonds are 1 mm each (.005 carat), and the square sapphires adoring the shoulders measure 2 mm. Weighs 3.42g

CONDITION:
Excellent. The band is still thick, the stones are securely set, and the central sapphire is a high quality stone that has hardly any wear. This stone and ring was examined by a GIA certified appraiser for quality.
